The 'Why' Behind Pathlights Collection

Pathlights Collection was founded by Paige Van Vugt, whose journey through cancer in 2023 became the spark behind something meaningful.

What began as a small creative outlet during chemotherapy has grown into a purpose-driven business, creating products designed to bring comfort, calm, and intention into everyday life.

Each purchase gives back.

A portion of every sale is donated to the BC Cancer Foundation in support of Paige’s journey and others walking a similar path.

A note from Paige

Pathlights Collection was created by me, Paige van Vugt, during my cancer diagnosis in 2023.

During chemotherapy treatment, I became sensitive to synthetic ingredients and paraffin wax. I started making my own candles with cleaner ingredients, gentler scents, and safer blends, and it ended up becoming a huge passion! It became a way for me to cope and find calm during a challenging time.

I shared them online, and my supportive community responded by wanting to support my journey. I had an idea to take a portion of my sales and donate them to BC Cancer, creating a full circle moment of support and giving back.

Soon after, my first wholesale order came from a small shop in the Okanagan, (which unfortunately, is no longer open) opening the door for my work to reach more stores.

Today, everything is still hand-crafted by me on Vancouver Island, created from a place of gratitude.

It is more than candles and body care, it’s a reflection of healing, purpose, and the journey that brought me here.
